The ERA – Dismissal and Redundancy - Sharpe Pritchard

This session will outline key developments of the Employment Rights Act in respect of dismissal and redundancy processes. We will provide a straightforward overview of how employers need to prepare  for the changes to qualifying period for unfair dismissal and the updated approach to redundancy.

The session will explore the existing law which remains in force around dismissing an employee fairly.  However, we will provide practical advice on how the new changes will impact on  employees on fixed‑term contracts and how employers should effectively manage probation periods.
