Former local government lawyer joins St John’s Chambers

Glen Pritchard, a former Somerset County Council solicitor, has joined the Family & Divorce team at St John's Chambers.

Mr Pritchard won a training contract at Somerset's in 2016. He qualified as a solicitor in 2018 and worked on the council's legal team for almost four years, where he focussed on children law.

He represented the Local Authority in public law hearings ranging from contested interim removal hearings in care proceedings to Deprivation of Liberty applications in the High Court.

Mr Pritchard was called to the bar in July of this year and joined St John's Chambers this month (August 2022).

Judi Evans, Head of Family Team at St John's Chambers, welcomed Mr Pritchard to the set.

In a statement, Evans said: "He is a well-known and respected family law practitioner following his career as a solicitor in Somerset, and adds further strength in depth to our busy team of 30 barristers, as well as enhancing our capacity to meet the demands of our family law clients."
