Borough to appoint democratic services officer as permanent Monitoring Officer

Hastings Borough Council is set to appoint democratic services officer Coral Harding as its permanent monitoring officer.

Her appointment follows the departure of Mary Kilner who had been Chief Legal Officer and monitoring officer at the borough council since February 2021.

Harding is currently a democratic services officer and interim monitoring officer at the borough.

Kate Slattery, who is Head of Legal at Hastings, will meanwhile take on the role of Chief Legal Officer.

Full council will vote on their appointment on Wednesday (15 July).
