Catherine Andrews, Partner

Catherine has over 20 years contentious litigation experience. She specialises in construction disputes, working for employers, main contractors, sub-contractors, developers and other construction professionals and for both public and private sector clients. Catherine has experience of all the standard form construction contracts, to include JCT, NEC and FIDIC.

Katrina Bretten, Senior Associate

Katrina specialises in non-contentious construction matters, acting for a wide range of clients including employers, developers, main contractors, sub-contractors and professionals. She regularly advises on construction documents including industry standard and bespoke forms of building contracts, appointments, warranties and deeds of novation and is able to draw from her experience on secondment working in-house for a national contractor.

Emma Chiaramello, Senior Associate

Emma’s contentious experience includes the recovery of stage/interim payments, final payments and valuation disputes, retention monies, extensions of time, loss and expense, variations and defects, and professional negligence claims. Emma has particular experience of settling disputes by litigation, pre-action protocol compliance and alternative dispute resolution such as adjudication and mediation. Emma is also well versed in enforcing adjudication decisions in the Technology and Construction Court.

Matthew Weston, Legal Director

Matthew qualified in 1996 and joined the firm in 2001. His practice covers contentious and non-contentious aspects of insolvency (both personal and corporate), and general commercial litigation.
