Webinar: Varying a public contract

In this webinar, DWF's public procurement experts delivered a practical guide on how contracting authorities can vary a public contract in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

The session was delivered by Alex Eaton and Ciaran Wells and included identifying what steps need to be taken to adapt to the new regime under The Procurement Act 2023, along with an overview of the transparency requirements under the current and future rules, worked examples and practical tips.

Ciaran Wells

Ciaran is a local government commercial and procurement lawyer who joins the team having worked as a senior solicitor at one of the largest local authorities in the country. He has previously been a Cabinet member and elected member on two local authorities and has over 10 years' experience working in the local government sector. He has been a board member of public private partnerships and is the chair of the board of trustees for a leisure services charity, a role which he has held for 10 years. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor he worked for a Member of Parliament.
