Womble Bond Dickinson and BDB Pitmans call off proposed merger
- Details
Law firms Womble Bond Dickinson and BDB Pitmans have announced that they have decided not to proceed further with their proposed merger.
In a joint statement the two firms said: “After extensive discussions on the combined proposition, both firms have decided that the best path forward is to remain independent of each other. Excellent relationships have been established and the firms will continue to work closely together in the future."
Womble Bond Dickinson markets itself as a "transatlantic" law firm following a 2017 merger between UK-based Bond Dickinson LLP and US-based Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP. It has 23 offices in the US and a further 7 in the UK.
BDB Pitmans has offices in London, Cambridge, Reading and Southampton.
