Lorraine Cavanagh QC joins 1GC Family Law as door tenant

Lorraine Cavanagh QC, who practices from St John's Buildings, Manchester, has joined 1GC Family Law as a door tenant.
Cavanagh, who took silk in 2019, is a Family Law and Court of Protection specialist with expertise in cases involving fatal and medically complex non-accidental injuries.
1GC said: “Lorraine has expertise in serious and life sustaining medical treatment cases for children and adults. With a specialty in wardship for children with significant medical or psychological issues and any complex legal issues arising from their deprivation of liberty. Lorraine is reported in some of the leading cases in adoption law.”
Her practice also includes judicial review and Human Rights claims with a focus on community care provision and child rights.
