Lawyer recommended for interim chief executive position at Torbay Council

Solicitor Anne-Marie Bond has been recommended for the role of interim Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service at Torbay Council until a formal permanent recruitment process can commence later in the year.
The full council will consider the recommendation of the authority’s employment committee at an extraordinary council meeting on Thursday (30 July).
The appointment follows the announcement that current Chief Executive Steve Parrock is stepping down.
Bond is currently Director of Corporate Services and Monitoring Officer. As interim Chief Executive she will paid a salary of £136,604 per annum.
The employment committee has also recommended that Amanda Barlow, Senior Solicitor at Torbay, be appointed interim Monitoring Officer for the duration of the interim Chief Executive arrangements.
