Lawyers in Local Government names Deborah Evans as chief executive officer

Lawyers in Local Government (LLG) has appointed Deborah Evans, a former CEO of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), as its new Chief Executive Officer.
LLG said the appointment followed a very competitive and highly skilled applicant interview process.
Evans, who began her career as a graduate in local government, has 12 years' experience at board level within a not for profit environment, including her time at APIL. She was also formerly CEO of the Legal Complaints Service.
LLG said she has “particular skills and experience in driving forward strategic vision and enabling positive reform across the legal sector”. As well as leading a membership services organisation, she was formerly CEO of the Legal Complaints Service. Deborah also began her career as a graduate in local government.
