Leading planning barrister Sasha White KC has been appointed Joint Head of Landmark Chambers, replacing Jenny Wigley KC following the conclusion of her term in the role.

White’s appointment begins immediately and will run for a three-year term until May 2029.

He joins Tim Morshead KC, who will step down from the role next year following a period of overlap between the two Heads of Chambers.

Landmark Chambers said: “Sasha is widely regarded as a leading planning silk. In the past year, he has appeared in one of the largest non-residential planning appeals, Marlow Film Studios, which the Secretary of State granted consent for, and the high-profile High Court planning case, Save Wimbledon Park, concerning the proposed expansion of the All England Club.”

Commenting on the appointment, White said: “I am delighted to take on the role of Joint Head of Chambers. Landmark has an exceptional reputation across all of its practice areas and I look forward to working alongside Tim, our members and staff to continue building on Chambers’ success.”

Tim Morshead KC said: “Sasha will be an excellent Joint Head of Chambers. The period of overlap is an important part of ensuring a smooth transition and I very much look forward to working closely with him over the coming year.”

Jenny Wigley KC added: “It has been a privilege to serve as Joint Head of Chambers and I am delighted to be handing over to Sasha. He is an exceptional advocate, hugely respected across the profession, and I have every confidence that Chambers will continue to thrive under his leadership alongside Tim.”
