University names nine firms to legal services open framework

Nottingham Trent University has named seven law firms and two patent and trade mark attorneys to a multi-milllion pound open framework agreement for the provision of legal services.
The agreement has been divided into the following lots:
- Lot 1a - Property or Real Estate
- Lot 1b - Construction
- Lot 2a - Human Resources (Ad-Hoc)
- Lot 2b - Human Resources (Retainer Service)
- Lot 3 - Dispute Resolution
- Lot 4 - Commercial and Corporate Services
- Lot 5 - Student Matters
- Lot 6 - Patent Management
The successful suppliers were:
- Barker Brettell (6)
- Bevan Brittan (2a)
- Browne Jacobson (1, 4)
- Eversheds Sutherland (2b)
- Freeths (1, 2, 2a)
- Greaves Brewster (6)
- HCR Legal (2)
- Mills & Reeve (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
- Shakespeare Martineau (2a, 3, 4, 5)
The contract is expected to run from 2 March 2026 to 1 March 2029, with a possible extension to 1 March 2034.
