South West council appoints eight firms to £8m legal services framework

Cornwall Council has selected eight law firms to a six-lot legal services framework worth an estimated £8m.
Firms appointed to the framework are to be used on a call-off basis to provide external legal advice to the council as well as council-owned entities and potentially other clients in the South West.
The contract is divided into the following lots:
- Commercial & Employment
- Property, Planning & Highways
- Civil Litigation
- Criminal Litigation
- Children's
- Adults
The successful firms were:
- Anthony Collins Solicitors (3, 4)
- Ashfords (1)
- Browne Jacobson (4, 6)
- Clarke Willmott (2)
- DWF Law (1, 2, 3, 4)
- Freeths (1, 2, 3)
- Sharpe Pritchard (1, 2, 3)
- TLT (4)
According to the notice, the 'Children's' lot (lot 5) was not awarded as no tenders to participate were received or all were rejected.
