Nuclear regulator to appoint provider of enforcement legal services

The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is to appoint a solicitor agent to provide enforcement legal services, primarily in support of its regulatory work in England and Wales, for up to four years.
The approved supplier will be required to provide advice and representation for ONR Inspectors on enforcement related matters to include prosecutions, appeals against enforcement notices and inquests.
The contract is due to start on 1 October 2018 and run until 30 September 2020, with the option for ONR to extend by agreement for a further two years in annual increments.
