Shared legal service wins place on £1m panel set up by Historic England

Shared legal service nplaw, which is based at Norfolk County Council, is one of nine legal practices to gain a place on Historic England’s £1m panel for a broad spectrum of types of legal work.
The panel will cover work including:
- Planning law: “with an emphasis on the law relating to the historic built environment planning enquiry work and possible heritage crime casework such as prosecutions”.
- Property law: “particularly all aspects of property management including general residential commercial and agricultural letting and licensing as well as knowledge of specialist areas such as guardianship property held on trust and Crown Estate property”.

- Charity.
- Judicial review.
Some 20 tenders were received. The successful firms were:

- LSR Solicitors and Property Consultants.
- Macfarlanes.
The contract will last for four years from 1 September 2017. It was awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 75) and price (weighting: 25).
