Council names 10 chambers to barristers framework

The council said the framework “will provide a route to market for the purchase of barristers' services, where there is demand for capacity or specialist expertise that cannot be met within the council's in-house Legal Services Unit”.

The framework is divided into the following lots:

1. Adults, Children and Education
2. Governance, Planning, Property and Litigation

The successful suppliers for lot 1 were:

• 3 DJB
• 33 Bedford Row
• 4 Brick Court
• Cornerstone Barristers
• Harcourt Chambers
• Landmark Chambers
• New Court Chambers
• St Albans Chambers
• The 36 Group

The successful providers for lot 2 were:

• Cornerstone Barristers
• Landmark Chambers
• The 36 Group

The framework is to run from 12 June 2026 to 12 April 2028, with a possible extension to 12 April 2030.
