The former Judge of the Technology and Construction Court (TCC) in Birmingham, His Honour David Grant, has joined the litigation team at Trowers & Hamlins.

HHJ Grant (pictured) retired from the bench on 1 September 2017 after nearly a decade in the role.

He will work with Trowers’ litigation teams across all regions, having a particular focus on construction and property related disputes.

David GrantAnthony Yates, Partner and Head of Litigation at Trowers, said: "We welcome David to Trowers & Hamlins and to the team. This is a unique opportunity for our clients and our litigation teams across the whole business, to draw on the recent first-hand experience of judging specialist litigation cases in the TCC.

“David's input will help to give a deeper and unrivalled understanding of how cases have been adjudicated upon, and how future cases could be decided, which  will greatly assist our overall approach to case management of ongoing construction disputes and high court litigation."

HH David Grant said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to put the skills that I have accumulated over the number of years I have been sitting in the TCC to constructive and practical use, especially with a firm such as Trowers & Hamlins, with its strong national and international presence. I am looking forward to working with the teams across its various offices."
