University names providers to £1.75m legal services framework

The University of Hertfordshire has named four law firms and a patent attorney to a legal services framework estimated to be worth £1.75m over five years.
The framework was divided into the following lots:
- Commercial and Corporate Law
- Governance, Regulatory, Constitutional, Charity and Health & Safety Law
- Employment Law
- Dispute Resolution and Litigation
- Estates and Property Law (including Construction Law)
- Patent Attorney
The successful firms were:
- Browne Jacobson (lots 2, 4)
- Cleveland Scott York (6)
- HCR Legal (1)
- Mills & Reeve (3)
- VWV (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
The university anticipates that the contract will run from 1 August 2025 for an initial period of three years until 31 July 2028. At the end of the first three years the university will have an option to extend for a further two years.
