Yolanda Pemberton, a specialist in complex children (public law) proceedings, has joined 1GC Family Law with immediate effect.

Pemberton’s practice focuses on representing local authorities, parents, children through their guardian, interveners and other interested parties.

1GC Family Law said: “Yolanda is known for her meticulous preparation of her cases, the complexity of her cases makes it necessary for her to undertake forensic consideration of complex medical or factual evidence which is often considered alongside concurrent criminal proceedings.

"Yolanda excels with vulnerable clients and can quickly and expertly get to the core of any dispute and known to be uncompromising in her approach for any client, ensuring they receive the best and most robust representation.”

Joint Heads of Chambers Andrew Norton KC and Sally Stone KC said: â€śWe are delighted to welcome Yolanda to Chambers. Joining us from a leading Midlands set, Yolanda brings a robust and distinguished reputation in the most complex public law children matters. Her extensive experience across serious injury cases, fabricated and induced illness, and the full spectrum of complex public law work will be an exceptional additional to our leading public law team at 1GC and to the clients we serve."

Pemberton said: “I am delighted to join 1GC and its exceptional practitioners. I look forward to working alongside them."
