Six barristers specialising in public law and civil litigation have joined 39 Essex Chambers.

The new arrivals are:

  • Saara Idelbi, a leading junior in the areas of Administrative Law and Human Rights, Court of Protection and Community Care, as well as Inquests and Inquiries.
  • Philip Dayle, who practises in the fields of Commercial, Inquests and Inquiries, International, Public Law and Regulatory.
  • Matthew Wyard, who specialises in matters concerning mental capacity/Court of Protection and public law.
  • Alex Cisneros, who specialises in public law and private client work, with a particular focus on mental capacity. His practice spans complex Court of Protection health and welfare proceedings, property and affairs disputes, and related public law challenges.
  • Rebecca Livesey, who specialises in business and property, clinical negligence, inquests and personal injury work.
  • Sam Fowles, a public law specialist whose practice includes constitutional law, judicial review, human rights, planning and environment, information law, inquests, public inquiries, and public international law.
