Sharpe Pritchard appointed to £60m London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance framework
Sharpe Pritchard, one of the UK’s leading public law firms, has been re-appointed to the London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance (LBLA) Solicitors Panel.
Worth potentially £60m over four years, the new framework will come into effect on 8th January 2026 and will be effective until 7th January 2029, with an option to extend for a further period of up to 12 months.
It is designed to give councils rapid access to specialist advice on the full breadth of public sector legal work, from regeneration and planning to governance, employment and complex service delivery.
This appointment underlines the firm’s continued role as a go-to adviser for local authorities, supporting high-profile projects, strategic decision making and day-to-day operational challenges.
Timothy Farr, Managing Partner at Sharpe Pritchard, said: “Securing a place on the LBLA framework is a powerful endorsement of our deep public sector expertise.
“Local authorities are facing unprecedented challenges, from financial pressures to increasing service demands, and they need legal partners who can act quickly, understand their environment and deliver pragmatic, cost-effective solutions.
“This framework provides LBLA members with a clear pathway to that support, and we are delighted to continue working alongside councils across London and the South East.”
The new panel is open not only to London boroughs but also to a wide range of local authorities and public bodies across the region.
This gives them direct access to experienced advisers on regeneration schemes, planning and property matters, strategic employment issues and the legal complexities behind major public services.
Justin Mendelle, Senior Partner at Sharpe Pritchard, added: “Our work has always been rooted in public law and local government. We are proud to support in-house teams on some of the sector’s most challenging and high-impact projects.
“Being re-appointed to the LBLA panel reinforces our long-standing commitment to helping councils deliver sustainable regeneration, strong governance and better outcomes for their communities. We look forward to continuing to deliver high quality legal services to both existing and new local authorities.”
Sharpe Pritchard’s multidisciplinary teams will provide coordinated, specialist support across four lots (Regeneration, Full Range of Legal Services, Planning and Property and Employment) combining legal excellence with practical insight into how public bodies operate and the pressures they face.
